I remember a time when the Republican Party billed itself and considered itself as the Party of LAW AND ORDER.

No longer does that even remotely apply.

As the Party of Donald Trump, they can no longer even remotely consider themselves associated with Law, let alone Order. They have abdicated the Constitution of the United States.

Individual support for Trump is one thing. To march in lockstep the way the Republicans in the House have during the Impeachment Hearings is quite another. It defies their oaths to the Constitution and all reason to claim in unison that the fraud and criminal sitting in the White House is innocent.

Over and above the two articles being put forth, Trump's three year history of defiance to the law warrants impeachment, not stonewalling with false claims of propriety and innocence. We are forever damaged as a Nation.

The party itself should have stripped him of the nomination in 2016 when he publicly invited the Russians to hack the Democratic opposition. Instead they have sat back as The Donald has acted as a Russian Asset attacking the FBI and US Intelligence Community.

For McConnell to say "I'm not impartial about this at all." as he works with Trump's attorneys to coordinate the defense should disqualify him sitting in the Senate during the Trial. His Constitutional DUTY is to hear the case openly and make an impartial judgement on the evidence, not whitewash an obvious criminal.

It's time for a NEW CONSTITUTION because we are witnessing the death of the old one.

JIMMY CARTER SUGGESTSTRUMP IS AN ILLEGITIMATE PRESIDENT

"There's no doubt that the Russians did interfere in the election. And I think the interference, although not yet quantified, if fully investigated would show that Trump didn't actually win the election in 2016. He lost the election and he was put into office because the Russians interfered on his behalf," Carter said at the Carter Center's retreat in Leesburg, Virginia on 28 JUN2019.

Let me underscore one point - in the decades since he left office, Jimmy Carter has served to certify elections around the world. Mr. Carter is a globally recognized expert at validating elections. This is no partisan amateur. When he speaks, we should listen.

When pressed by host and moderator Jon Meacham if he believed Trump was an illegitimate president, Carter responded "Based on what I just said, which I can't retract."

The message is clear.

There is a long established and well defined principle of law - "Chain of Evidence" - that states that if the chain of custody of evidence is broken, that evidence is no longer valid.

I strongly believe in a parallel corollary in governmental principle- "Chain of Government". Once the chain of constitutional government is broken, THAT GOVERNMENT IS INVALID.

This is not the same as Impeachment. This is a question of a foreign government, an historic enemy of the United States under the leadership of a former KGB agent, interfering in and altering the course of the United States by placing its choice of president in power.

This goes far beyond the Donald's other crimes; it isn't rectifiable by IMPEACHMENT. The entire administration is the result of foreign action. There is no valid "fallback" at this point.

It is time for a new Constitutional Congress to establish a new and legal government to go forward from this day forth.

IMPEACH THE FRAUD.

I admit to being lazy when it comes to updating this site, but I can't sit on my ass any longer and let it go unsaid.

That is how democracy is lost to tyranny. That is how a government is handed over to a thief.

Donald Trump has been a charlatan, a liar, a con-man and a fraud his entire life. We need to put an end to what can only be described as his illegitimate government.

The only reason to not impeach the fraud is that the hypocritical Republican Senate has sacrificed its principles and honor to bow to a proven LIAR and USURPER. They have betrayed their party and their country.

We cannot trust them to stand for what they have forsaken and do the right thing by returning to legitimate constitutional government with an Executive Branch held accountable to the Legislature and the People.

We need a John McCain to return honor to the Republican Party. I am not a Republican, but I could always see the honor and integrity in what was a truly great man and great American. Sadly, all that died with him, and I fear that the Republican Sheep in the Senate will lack the courage to convict the Teflon Don, a man who, like John Gotti before him has done nothing but hide behind lawyers and shell games to dodge his crimes.

We don't need a traitorous senate to legitimatize the illegitimate.

We need brave men and women to stand up and put him out of office and behind bars.

I always liked Cat Stevens' "Another Saturday Night".

Sunday nights are a whole other story.

In fact, Sunday nights can sink into the consciousness and start eating away at you much earlier in the day. Sometimes it starts right out of bed.

Just knowing what comes Monday morning is enough to ruin most of a Sunday. And re-arming the alarm clock puts a big black bow on the package.

Anticipation sucks.

As a kid, back in the days of school, at least summers held a measure of relief up until Labor Day. Labor Day brought on all the dread of a Super Sunday, the other side of which was ARMAGEDON TUESDAY and back into Hell. To this day Labor Day Weekend, even with the holiday, brings on an intense depression that I can't shake off.

Anyhow. Today is Sunday. Tomorrow is Monday.

And Mondays suck.

Once upon a time I used to have interests in life.

Things that I did, that I followed, that I pursued.

Somewhere along the way I seem to have lost all energy to even care. Like I lost my own footsteps to follow.

Model building, aviation, flying, the Kennedy assassination.

Photography (I used to have a full color darkroom and do my own processing/printing, framing.)

All I do now is work. And sleep.

The closest I come to a great joy is to be in bed, under the covers and asleep. Hell, it's sad when the only thing you want in bed is sleep. :(

At the end of the day, all I am is drained - drained of energy and life.

Do I even have a life left?

I need to get my life back.

I want my life back.

Exhausted

If I had to come up with a word to describe life of late, It would be exhausted.

I have no energy and no drive/desire for much of anything, except maybe sleep.

The thought of curling up in bed under the covers is so cozy.

Oh, that reminds me of SLEEPY's changing its name to MATTRESS FIRM. What a brain dead idea.

SLEEPY's was such a warm and inviting name. It spoke to everyone's desire for a good night's sleep at the end of the day, or the joy and comfort of a refreshing nap to recharge the soul.

MATTRESS FIRM is cold and hard. It fails to conjure up a positive feeling at all for one of the great rewards of life. It turns a fundamental human need and instinct into a "corporate" proper name.

Just brain dead.

I suspect this will be a recurring theme.

There are certain commercials that grate on you from the first view. The ones that you reach for the remote to hit the mute button, or change the channel hoping to god it isn't on the other channel at the same time. It is vicious when you can't escape them.

And OF COURSE those are the ones that seem to get the most airplay.

Right now... the gdmf VERIZON Mike Drop commercial is driving me crazy. EVERY commercial break, over and over. AAAAAARG!

Verizon, being Verizon, the damned commercial is everywhere to the point that the site of that guy's face makes me want to scream.

If you live in a part of the world without Verizon, consider yourself lucky.

But then, YOU have your own commercial to HATE.

Bad Dog

I am a bad dog.

Just been too tired and beat to get on here and say anything lately.

Kinda sums up everything else, too. Just no energy. Can't even say there is a lack of incentive. Right now there is no shortage of shit going on to rant about, just a lack of something inside me to drive me.

Maybe it is that primeval instinct to hibernate for the winter. A need to hunker down and sleep to recharge the soul.

The Donald recruits for ISIS and does not speak for America.

"When a country is no longer able to say who can, and who cannot , come in & out, especially for reasons of safety &.security - big trouble!"

No, Donald, it is not the country who said it, but a spoiled little rich boy not used to being held to the law of the land.

How many Federal Judges does it take to teach you the law?

It is time for you to learn that Federal Employees have a legal and moral obligation to uphold the Constitution, not the childish rantings of The Donald.

Thank you Sally!

You had the courage, honor and integrity to stand by your word.

You said you would stand up and tell a president when his orders were unlawful. May Sessions learn the true meaning of what an AG should represent.

Trump may have stood by his campaign rabble rousing.

YOU stood by the Constitution and true American Values.

I will admit to a long dislike for Donald Trump dating far back before his entry into politics.

I remember back when he was arrogantly defaulting on loans, a time when he could have/should have been brought down because, in his own mind, he was "Too Big To Fail" and thought himself above the law. That was 4 bankruptcies ago.

If Wall Street brought us to the brink of collapse with that TBTF mentality, The Donald was way ahead of them. Read this and Read this

Remember that in his bankruptcies, it was always the "Company", not the Donald that filed. The Donald always personally made money and came out on top.

Looking at the brash assaults on what used to be Our America coming from the Oval Office these days as the Donald runs us like a company, I can only wonder when the 5th Bankruptcy will be us.

As the Donald moves to deny the Freedoms and Justice that once was the heritage of America, I fear the "Fifth Bankruptcy" will go down in history as our legacy along side Nazi Germany's "Third Reich"

The Wall

Ok... I'm confused here.

According to one news site The Donald "could pay for a wall on the southern border with a new 20 percent tax on goods from Mexico, the White House said on Thursday."

Another alternative fact?

Let's see. The claim is that the Mexicans are going to pay for the wall. Now it seems to me if there is to be a 20% tax on goods from Mexico, it is going to be Americans who are going to be paying for the Wall through higher prices.

Even if you are one of those who feels the Wall is a good idea, how do you make sense of the Donald's logic?

I can't believe that the anger actually seemed to grow today. If I doubted my feelings that it was in the air, it sure as hell seemed to be confirmed today.

Everything just screamed angry.

Hopefully the world will take the coming weekend off. Have a drink. Take a pill and just chill.

But they'll probably just come out swinging on MON.

A power failure at Twitter wouldn't be a bad thing. :)

2017

I suppose I really should jump in here and start saying something.

If 2016 ended in disbelief and depression, 2017 is definitely the year of hate.

Yes, there was plenty of vitriol to go around last year, but this year it is magnified beyond belief. I have seen many moods that permeate a year and 2017 is not just a year of hate but the year of hate.

Wherever you turn, you can just feel the hatred in the air. Whether you are on the side of the victorious or the vanquished the atmosphere is just charged with animosity. Soul shriveling, overwhelming animosity.

It is going to be a very long year.
